The last two weeks have been hectic between the start of this new adventure, other family packing to move interstate, we have been in rather a state of chaos.
In between those hectic moments we have had wonderful moments of stopping and just spending time together talking, baking and playing games.

Yesterday was one of those days. We took the minions for a drive out bush looking for wattle in all of it's glorious yellows so mummu (that would be me – our family term for grandmother in Finnish) could take photos of, and ended up with precious moments, flower crowns, Harry Potter style incantations waved with wand like branches summoning unwitting rocks into imagined levitation. To say it was an afternoon well spent would be an understatement.
While enjoying the warmth of the spring afternoon and the gorgeous colours of the Mallee, I watched as the children happily meandered up the red dirt road, talking and playing, stopping to pick up curiosities along the path. The deep yellows and the sweet vanilla scent of the wattle adding to the layers that will become a wonderful memory in time.
I so was glad to be in the moment, enjoying the peace, marvelling at nature in it’s finest and the tender bonds of family, thinking what a very lucky mummu I am.
